陳逸鳴 1951年生于上海，自幼習(xí)畫。中國(guó)已故著名畫家陳逸飛的胞弟。1972年至1979年期間，先后就讀于上海美術(shù)?？茖W(xué)校及上海戲劇學(xué)院油畫系。自1979年至1981年任教于上海輕工業(yè)?？茖W(xué)校。他在1981年赴美留學(xué)前是上海輕工業(yè)專科學(xué)校美術(shù)專業(yè)的教師。赴美后曾在紐約藝術(shù)學(xué)生聯(lián)盟研習(xí)。首次在紐約著名的瓦列.芬得萊畫廊合作的三年中曾在美國(guó)芝加哥，佛羅里達(dá)及法國(guó)巴黎的芬得萊畫廊舉辦畫展。 通過(guò)和瓦理·芬德里畫廊和汗默畫廊的成功合作，在美國(guó)獲得了廣泛的承認(rèn)。曾在美國(guó)芝加哥，佛羅里達(dá)及法國(guó)巴黎的芬得萊畫廊舉辦畫展。
Chen Yiming, born in Shanghai in 1951, studied painting from his boyhood upwards. From 1972 to 1979, he studied in Shanghai Art College and Oil Painting Department of Shanghai Theatrical College successively. Before going to study in America in 1981, he was an art teacher in Shanghai Light Industry College, and then he went to study in New York art students union in United State. He has held many exhibitions in North America, Europe and Asia, and participated in oil painting auction in many auction houses, such as Christie, Sotheby and Jia-de. His works has been collected by many national or regional museums, corporation, and individuals.
As the famous Chinese painter cooperating with Hammer Gallery for 15 years, Chen Yiming has a unique painting style blending oriental culture and western painting technique, and has been accepted by western and oriental art enthusiasts and collectors.
