徐福厚 1954年出生于河北武安。河北師范大學美術學院院長、教授，中國美術家協會會員，河北省美協副主席。1982年畢業(yè)于河北師大美術系，并留校任教；1986年考入湖北美院，師從楊立光、劉依聞、尚揚先生研究油畫技法與創(chuàng)作，攻讀碩士學位；1990年回師大任教，現任河北師范大學美術學院院長、教授，中國美術家協會會員，河北省美協副主席。
Xu Fuhou is President and professor of Art College of Hebei Normal University, a member of China Artists Association and Vice President of Hebei Artists Association. After graduating from Art Department of Hebei Normal University in 1982, Xu decided to stay there as a teacher. In 1986, he was admitted to Hubei Academy of Fine Arts for a master's degree. There he learned a lot about oil painting from Yang Liguang, Liu Yiwen and Shang Yang. In 1990, he returned to Hebei Norma University and continued as a teacher. Now Xu is the President and professor of Art College of Hubei Normal University, a member of China Artists Association and Vice President of Hubei Artists Association.
