李樺 1907年生于廣東番禺。1927年畢業(yè)于廣州市立美術(shù)學(xué)校，1930年留學(xué)日本。新興木刻運(yùn)動(dòng)的先驅(qū)者之一。歷任國(guó)立北平藝專教授、中央美術(shù)學(xué)院教授、中國(guó)美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)常務(wù)理事、中國(guó)版畫家協(xié)會(huì)主席。曾獲1996年中國(guó)版協(xié)授予“魯迅版畫獎(jiǎng)”。代表作有《向炮口要飯吃》、《團(tuán)結(jié)就是力量》、《怒吼吧，中國(guó)!》。
Li Hua was born in Guangdong province in 1907 and graduated from Guangzhou Fine Arts College in 1927 and afterwards left for japan to continue his study.he successively held the posts of professor of China central academy of art; standing director of China Artists Association,he also enjoyed special government allowance and won Lu Xun Blockprinting Award by China Printmaking Association in 1996. His masterpieces include Charging Meals from Cannons, Unity is Strength and China Get Roaring.
