方增先，1931年生于浙江蘭溪。畢業(yè)于浙江美術(shù)學院，留校后為研究生。現(xiàn)為上海美術(shù)館館長、中國美術(shù)家協(xié)會常務理事、中國畫藝術(shù)委員會副主任、上海中國畫院一級美術(shù)師、上海大學講席教授。作品有《粒粒皆辛苦》、《說紅書》、《孔乙己》等?！赌赣H》曾獲第七屆全國美展銀獎和齊白石藝術(shù)基金獎。出版有《方增先人物畫集》、《方增先畫集》。專著有《怎樣畫水墨人物畫》、《結(jié)構(gòu)素描》、《人物畫的造型問題》、《人物水墨寫生教學筆記》等。
Fang Zengxian was born in Lanxi, Zhejiang. After his graduation from the middle school attached to the Central Art Academy in 1953, he remained as a research student there. Upon his graduation he took up a teaching position in Zhejiang Art Academy. He became head of the Shanghai Fine Arts Museum in 1983. He now is also the standing director of Chinese Artists Association, the vice director of Council of Chinese Traditional Arts, the first-class artist in Shanghai Academy of Chinese Traditional Arts, and the professor in Shanghai University. His work Mother won Silver Medal in National Fine Arts Exhibition and prize from Qi Baishi Art Fund.
